5am Meditation Day 44- Meditation in Schools
Perfect timing. We just had a professional day at my school on stress and relaxation techniques earlier this week, and today I cam across an Edutopia article on Meditation in Schools.

Wow, what a novel idea, providing teachers with a day dedicated to promoting stress and relaxation techniques. May I please come work for your school. We had a Teacher Workday on President's Day. A day usually devoted to catching up on grades, organizing, and gathering one's thoughts and preparations for the coming month. However, instead of a mildly relaxing day to get back on track in my classroom, I got scheduled for task analyzing all the new Essential Standards for biology. Not necessarily a soothing or meditative experience. Though, I was a little vegetative by the end of the day : )
